چکیده
This paper aims to represent the orthodontic treatment of two young patients with skeletal Class I relationship and unilateral impacted canines (case 1 palatally displaced canine case 2 buccally canine). Before starting full-mouth alignment, are moved away from roots neighbouring teeth. The protocol involved a surgical phase carried out in order expose traction it TADs (temporary anchorage devices) an performed finalize alignment. were through vertical distal force vectors by using as well cantilever spring. Experience with orthodontic temporary anchorage devices
In orthodontics, anchorage is a prerequisite for the application of therapeutic forces and can limit their successful use. According to the intended treatment goals, desired tooth movements should, therefore, be maximized and undesirable effects minimized. But additional anchorage such as extraand intraoral forces are visible and hence compliance dependent and are associated with the risk of un...
متن کاملCorrosion of orthodontic temporary anchorage devices.
Corrosion of orthodontic miniscrews or temporary anchorage devices (TADs) has been proposed as a contributor to inflammation, which in turn is a factor in the clinical success of miniscrews. The purpose of this study was to measure the electrochemical properties of orthodontic miniscrews in artificial saliva with and without fluoride. The corrosion properties of three miniscrew products (Vector...
متن کاملThe effect of canine disimpaction performed with temporary anchorage devices (TADs) before comprehensive orthodontic treatment to avoid root resorption of adjacent teeth
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to evaluate the movement of impacted canines away from the roots of neighboring teeth before full-mouth bracket placement, performed by means of TADs to decrease undesired side effects on adjacent teeth. METHODS The study sample consisted of 34 palatally impacted canines, being 19 in the experimental group and 15 in the control group. In the experimental gr...
متن کاملAcceptance of orthodontic miniscrews as temporary anchorage devices
OBJECTIVE To study the patient's acceptance, expectation, and experience of pain with orthodontic temporary miniscrews. METHODS Questionnaires were distributed to 165 potential temporary orthodontic miniscrew recipients or their parents. Using the numeric rating scale, patients who received miniscrews as part of their orthodontic treatment were also asked to rate the pain or discomfort experi...
متن کاملIndications for and Advantages of TADs Indications for and Advantages of Temporary Anchorage Devices
Are you using micro-implants in your practice for orthodontic anchorage? Hopefully, the answer is yes, but if not, why not? This presentation will suggest some clinical applications in which the use of temporary anchorage devices (TADs) is becoming increasingly common. As our techniques continue to improve, orthodontists can place TADs themselves. This gives orthodontists the ability to determi...
